Christian discovered Wild Cut Designs through a recommendation and was immediately drawn to the brand upon exploring the website. The values and ideals of the business resonated deeply with both him and his fiancée-to-be, Amy. Supporting local businesses and ensuring that the piece was crafted in Australia by a local artisan were important to them. Additionally, they wanted the stones to be ethically sourced by a professional.
Amy, herself a small business owner, valued these principles highly. Christian had a clear vision of the design he wanted but needed assistance in bringing it to life. We arranged to meet at a local café to discuss the options. Christian had a strong understanding of Amy's preferences—knowing exactly which colors she would love and which she would avoid.
Given that Amy frequently uses her hands for renovations and creating fashion, durability was key. We decided on sapphires for their toughness, with a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale. Carina sourced a selection of sapphires for Christian to choose from, allowing him to pick the perfect colour, shape, and style that would best suit Amy’s taste and lifestyle.
Materials
18ct Rose Gold Three (3) Stone Sapphire Ring
The ring features one (1) octagonal sapphire centrally set with four fine pointed talon type claws, with one (1) pear shaped pink and one (1) pear shaped orangish red sapphire claw and end set either side of the central sapphire. The band has a flat profile with a high polish finish which slightly pinches to the setting and measures at approximately 1.60mm wide with a depth of 1.70mm at the back of the band. Finger Size: M.
